Our flat, subscription based pricing means you won’t be charged by the hour, or get surprised by unpleasant ‘add on’ fees.
PEOs embed administrative fees that are, in most cases, impossible to decipher and quite high.
Our job is to advise you of best practices, tell you where we see threats or exposure, give you all the information, so you can make a reasoned decision.
And, once the decision is made, well then our job is to do everything possible to back you up. Craft the policy so it will withstand audit scrutiny, develop a practice that keeps everyone happy, roll out the process, basically execute on your vision.
What is not our job? Well, it’s not our job to tell you what to do.
You didn’t get to a leadership position by being told what to do.
PEOs market themselves as the all in solution, the employer of record, they will take the liability off your plate.
It all sounds good, but that isn’t the way the regulatory agencies see it. With a PEO, you become a co-employer. You still have all the liability exposure, but now you have the pleasure of having someone look over your shoulder, telling you what you can and can’t do with your employees.
Lose the authority and retain the liability – that doesn’t sound like a win win to us.
Running payroll – it’s a necessary evil.
Pulling timecard reports, uploading to the payroll system, creating deduction codes, setting up taxes. No matter how easy the payroll system makes the process, it is still a process. A process you are expected to handle.
Payroll is more complicated than it looks, and critical to get right. You need someone to manage and execute on the whole payroll process, and can deal with the one off situations (workers comp audit, anyone?).
We take on all aspects of the payroll process – and you get to use the extra time to grow your business.
A good payroll platform is nice. But with a PEO you are still stuck doing all the work.
Transferring the time, inputting payroll data, running the processing, checking the payroll register, dealing with garnishments etc.

With a PEO, you get what they offer.
They have partnered with specific carriers, and you must enroll in plans offered by those carriers. Want a different provider, or different coverage – sorry, that option is not available for you.
And if you are concerned about the cost of offering ‘big company’ benefits (and who isn’t) – just remember, you can generally select a suite of benefit options, better suited to your needs, at a comparable price.
Beautiful technology is great, but what good is excellent tech if you’re stuck doing data input?
Other companies offer ‘seamless integration’ and the opportunity to streamline onboarding, benefits, payroll etc. with an intuitive platform. But, you are still expected to initiate the process, input the data, and be the administrator for the system.

While PEOs widely vary in their offerings – they generally build on top of dated payroll systems.
Attaching bits and pieces of tech offerings as they come along, the systems are cumbersome, confusing, slow, lack mobile applications and a user friendly interface.
And because payroll systems are backward looking, it is very difficult (if not impossible) to get current information or future projections.
